Ellada Zulfugar gizi Makhmudova was born on May 27, 1963, in Nakhchivan. She studied at secondary school №1 in Nakhchivan from 1970–1980. She has worked in Information Calculating Centre in Baku in the position of operator. She entered the faculty of “Physics and Mathematics” with the specialty of “General Technical Subjects, including Physics” in Nakhchivan State Pedagogical Institute in 1982 and graduated in 1987. She then worked in the Nakhchivan State Social Protection Fund as an inspector during 1987–1991. Moreover, she worked as a methodist in the Nakhchivan Teachers Training Institute in the years from 1991–1994, and as a Physics teacher at school №1 in Nakhchivan since 1998. In 2004 she was a candidate for degree in the specialty of “Theoretical Physic” on the theme of “Neutrino-electron and antineutrino-electron scattering reactions in a weak magnetic field”. In addition, her articles have been published in the Institute of Physics of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, in the Mangistaus “Bolashak” Institute of Kazakhstan Republic Ministry of Science and Education and in the Nakhchivan Teachers Institute. Further, she has attained a certificate in computer courses from the “Dark” education centre of Nakhchivan University. She also attended in the International Silk Road Conference with the thesis of “Historical Silk Road and issues on development of economic and cultural relations of Nakhchivan”. Since October 2011 she has been working as a head of the “General Department” of Nakhchivan Private Universsity under the current name “Nakhchivan” University, and has been the head since October 2014. Since the February 2023 the name of this department has been changed into “Human resources and career planning”. She is a member of the New Azerbaijan Party, married and has two children.
